Aeolus House Chapbooks began as a personal sideline, when Phantelles, a collection of fan-shaped texts, was created and launched in conjunction with the “Phantelles” exhibit of painted fans and fan constructions by Holly Briesmaster and Janice Jackson at Pteros Gallery in Toronto in January 2003. Since that time, the concept has evolved to include collections of poetry written by special friends, and published by a special arrangement with them. All copies of the 4 chapbooks published thus far belong to the authors and can be purchased from them. However, I have a few copies that can be ordered from me. I would add $1.00 to the price, for postage. Eventually I want to expand this fledgling press, but until further notice, publication with Aeolus House will be by invitation only. CHAPBOOKS PRODUCED Phantelles, by Allan Briesmaster (2003), 32 pp. $5.00 ISBN 0-9732411-0-1 In the Sun's Grace, by James LaTrobe (2004), 32 pp. $7.00 ISBN 0-9732411-1-X “James LaTrobe writes with an irreverent Beat sensibility. In the Sun's Grace is sprinkled with 20th Centrury cultural icons, literary references, and personal anecdotes with an eye to the future like a 21st Century Gary Snyder.” - Nancy Jane Bullis, author of The Eel Ladder and host of HOWL, CIUT 89.5 FM The Brightest Fire, by Eric Layman (2005), 32 pp. $8.00 ISBN 0-9732411-0-8 Nights in the City of the Dead, by Edward A.
